Our trip out to Central and South America is not far off, we’re arriving in Guatemala on the 11th June (18 days away). Neither of us quite know what to expect, dodgy ganglands, tropical rain forests, ancient Mayan ruins or a lively cultural experience – chances are it will be a mix of all of that (although we hope to avoid the drug lords).
Nothing much is planned, arrive in Guatemala and that’s it, we still need to book our first few nights accommodation. We’ll make a pretty quick move out to Antigua, a colonial town that is meant to be a great spot to learn Spanish – it’ll probably take me beyond the crap that I’m talking now! So until we jet off I’ll leave this blog waiting, ready for a Latin American onslaught.
